NS Micellar Lifting is a nanotechnology-based active containing DMAE Bitartrate (Dimethylaminoethanol Tartrate), a choline analogue that functions as a skin conditioning agent in cosmetic formulations. The active is encapsulated in polymeric micelles at a particle size of 10 to 50 nm, which enables improved skin penetration and controlled, sustained release of the active ingredient compared to a non-encapsulated form.

DMAE Bitartrate has attracted significant formulation interest due to its skin conditioning and skin firming properties in topical cosmetic applications. Applications

Skin Firming Serum: Primary application. Add at 5% to 10% in the water phase or directly into the serum base at room temperature. Compatible with non-ionic and anionic vehicles. Incompatible with ethanol — do not use in alcohol-containing serum bases.

Anti-Ageing Face Cream and Emulsion: Add at 3% to 10% to the water phase at room temperature. Compatible with most non-ionic emulsifiers and anionic thickeners. Test compatibility with specific emulsifier systems before finalising formula.

Facial Gel and Cream Gel: Add at 2% to 5% in gel bases. Compatible with carbomer, hydroxyethylcellulose, and other standard gel thickeners. Avoid ethanol-containing bases.

Neck and Decolletage Cream: Add at 5% to 10% in a rich emulsion. Particularly relevant for mature skin formulations targeting firmness and skin conditioning in the neck and jaw area.

Skin Conditioning Body Lotion: Add at 1% to 5% in a non-ionic or anionic lotion base. Contributes skin conditioning function to body formulations targeting skin appearance and texture.

How to Use

Recommended Use Level: 1% to 10% of total formulation. Begin with 5% for standard skin firming applications. Reduce to 1% to 3% for lighter skin conditioning formulations.

Phase Addition: Add Micellar Lifting to the formulation at room temperature. Do not heat above 40 degrees C. Add slowly with gentle mixing.

Compatibility: Compatible with non-ionic and anionic vehicles, emulsifiers, and thickeners. Water-based system.

pH of Use: Stable in formulations at pH 2.0 to 7.0. No significant particle size variation across this pH range. Standard cosmetic serum and cream pH ranges are compatible.
