How to Use

For Face Masks: Use at 20 to 100% of the dry mask blend. Activate with water, rose water, or aloe vera gel. Apply for 10 to 20 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water. Suitable for daily use on sensitive skin. For very dry skin, activate with honey or a few drops of facial oil mixed into the water.

For Facial Powder: Blend at 20 to 50% with mica and silica to create a loose or pressed facial powder with natural pink pigmentation. Rose Clay provides absorbency, coverage, and slip; mica provides luminosity. The combination is the standard mineral powder formulation architecture for blush and finishing powder.

For Melt and Pour Soap: Mix 1 teaspoon with 1 tablespoon of isopropyl alcohol until fully dispersed. Add 0.5 teaspoon of the dispersed clay at a time to the melted soap base. This prevents clumping and ensures even colour distribution. Rose Clay produces a soft pastel pink tone in melt and pour soap.

For Cold Process Soap: Mix 1 teaspoon with 1 tablespoon of distilled water until fully dispersed. Add 1 teaspoon of the dispersed clay at a time to soap batter at light trace. Produces a consistent soft pink to rose tone that is stable through saponification.

For Bath Bombs: Start with approximately 0.25 teaspoon per 500g of bath bomb mix. Rose Clay disperses evenly in the dry bath bomb blend and provides a light pink colour to the bath water on dissolution. Adjust the amount to achieve the desired depth of colour.

Pairs Well With

Kaolin White Clay blended with Rose Clay creates a customisable pink-white clay base. Increasing Kaolin proportion lightens the pink and reduces any oil absorption further. A 70:30 Kaolin to Rose Clay ratio produces a barely-there pink for the most delicate sensitive skin formulations.

Mica combined with Rose Clay at 40 to 60% mica to 20 to 40% Rose Clay creates a shimmering natural blush or finishing powder. Rose Clay contributes the pink pigmentation and absorbency; mica contributes the light-reflecting shimmer. This is the standard mineral blush formulation architecture.

French Pink Clay blended with Rose Clay at 50:50 creates a layered pink clay mask combining the very low absorption of Rose Clay with the medium absorption of French Pink Clay. The combination suits normal to dry combination skin where some areas need more absorbency than Rose Clay alone provides.

Calamine Clay Powder blended with Rose Clay creates a gentle pink soothing mask for sensitive and reactive skin, combining the zinc oxide skin-protecting function of Calamine with the very low absorption gentleness of Rose Clay. Suitable for post-procedure or irritated skin in rinse-off format.

Rose Hip Powder at 5 to 10% added to a Rose Clay mask base creates a botanically enhanced formulation with matching colour aesthetics (both pink) and complementary antioxidant and skin conditioning properties.
