•        Compatible with humectants, extracts, mild surfactants, and preservative systems, enabling straightforward combination with standard cosmetic actives in the water phase at the compatible pH range of 4.0 to 6.0.

How to Use

As Facial Toner or Face Mist: Use at 80 to 100% of the toner formula. Add water-soluble actives (Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid, Panthenol). Add a broad-spectrum preservative at 0.5 to 1% of total formula weight. Adjust pH to target range. Add below 40 degrees Celsius to preserve aroma.

In Creams, Lotions, and Gels: Replace 5 to 50% of the distilled water in the water phase. Add in the water phase before emulsification. The preservative system in the finished emulsion protects the hydrosol component.

In Gels and Serums: Use at 10 to 80% of the water phase in gel formulations. Compatible with standard gel-forming polymers (carbomer, hydroxyethylcellulose) within the pH range.

In Hair Mists and Scalp Tonics: Use at 50 to 95% of the water phase. The mild citrus aroma is commercially appealing in Indian hair care ranges and the hydrosol contributes a refreshing scalp sensory experience.

Preservation — Mandatory: Orange Hydrosol is water-based. Any finished product must include a broad-spectrum preservative. Suitable options: Euxyl PE 9010 at 0.5 to 1%, Sodium Benzoate at pH below 5, or other water-phase compatible preservatives.

Pairs Well With

Niacinamide dissolved in Orange Hydrosol creates a brightening and pore-minimising toner with a fresh citrus sensory experience. The mild vitamin-citrus combination is commercially appealing for oily and combination skin toners in the Indian market.

Hyaluronic Acid combined with Orange Hydrosol creates a hydrating face mist where the citrus freshness of the hydrosol complements the moisture-binding function of hyaluronic acid. A popular natural toner formulation base for normal to combination skin.

Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid or a stable derivative) in Orange Hydrosol creates a natural-positioned brightening toner where the citrus heritage of the hydrosol and the brightening function of Vitamin C are complementary in both positioning and formulation. Note: pH must be adjusted to the Vitamin C working range (approximately 3.0 to 3.5) — verify Orange Hydrosol pH is compatible before finalising.

Lavender Hydrosol blended with Orange Hydrosol at a 50:50 ratio creates a citrus-floral hydrosol base that combines the fresh uplift of orange with the soft floral character of lavender. A balanced aromatic water phase for premium toner and mist formulations.

Green Tea Hydrosol blended with Orange Hydrosol creates a multi-botanical aromatic water phase combining citrus freshness with the mild herbal character of green tea. Suitable for antioxidant-positioned toner and face mist formulations.

Euxyl PE 9010 at 0.5 to 1% is the recommended preservative pairing for Orange Hydrosol in toner and mist formulations.
